And he is sooo adorable! As we’ve been in the house a few weeks now we decided it was time to visit the rescue centre and see if we fell in love with any cats there. There were so many lovely ones but when we saw Bagheera we just knew it was meant to be.
He was very hyper at first – the lady at the rescue gave us some treats to go in with which he went crazy for, but I figured he just loved food as much as I do! He soon calmed down after they were all gone though, and we were pleasantly surprised to be told he could come home with us straight away.
We were advised by the staff at the rescue that we probably wouldn’t see him for a few days as he would want to settle in, but as soon as we let him out of the carrier he was right at home, cuddling up with us on the sofa and even sleeping on the end of the bed with us last night.
I’m off work today so spending time helping him settle in even more – I’ve managed to get a few cuddles already but the postman rang the doorbell a while ago so Bagheera is currently on top of the wardrobe in the bedroom. That’s ok – we’ll let him settle in at his own pace. Expect a lot of photos and blog post now that we’re cat owners!
